Miss Teen North Carolina Spirit

IrisBrewer2 Iris Brewer

Name: Iris Brewer
Age: 17

Hobbies/ Recreation: My hobbies include color guard, dance and listening to music. I have been on color guard for three years now and have loved every minute of it. I also serve as one of the captains of colorguard. Dance and music are ways for me to express myself without talking. I love going to the beach. Spending time with friends on the weekends is great too. I enjoy going to church and participating in church-related activities. Although, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.

Goals: I aspire to enter into a four year college after I graduate high school to further my education to one day become a Physician’s Assistant specializing in Pediatrics. I advocate racial equality and would one day like to become a motivational speaker on this topic. I would like to help people that have faced adversity due to their racial background. Along with advocating racial equality, I promote against child abuse and would like to help children in abuse situations. I desire to be the voice of the unspoken.

What does American Spirit Pageants mean to you?: American Spirit Pageants means a dream come true for me. It has showed me that you can do anything you put your mind to. This pageant has helped me build confidence along with self dignity. I have met so many life long friends through this pageant. I had such a great time and the staff was wonderful. I think it is excellent that the pageant is dedicated to the Havlife Foundation, it is a great cause. In this pageant I felt that I was not only bettering myself but bettering others as well through raising money for the foundation. This charity is such a great way to give back to the community. The Havlife Foundation goes along with my hopes on helping children that are less fortunate. I can not tell you how great it is to have a pageant that is so devoted to promoting a wonderful cause. I would like to personally thank all of the judges and staff at the pageant. I would also like to thank Dennis for making this all happen. This pageant is a wonderful fit for women with huge aspirations. I will never forget the memories that I have made. Thank you everyone that made this great opportunity happen for me. May God Bless.
