Miss Teen
Must be at least 13 and under 18 years of age as of January 1 2012.
Must never have participated in a previous NATIONAL Miss Teen American Spirit Pageant.
May only compete in one Miss Teen American Spirit State Pageant (including the District of Columbia) per pageant year.
Must have never been married.
Must not have children.

Miss
Must be at least 18 but under 26 years of age as of January 1, 2012.
Must never have participated in a previous NATIONAL Miss American Spirit Pageant.
May only compete in one Miss American Spirit State Pageant (including the District of Columbia) per pageant year.
Must have never been married.
Must not have children.

Ms.
Must be at least 18 years of age as of January 1, 2012.
Must never have participated in a previous NATIONAL Ms. American Spirit Pageant.
May only compete in one Ms. American Spirit State Pageant (including the District of Columbia) per pageant year.
May be single, widowed or divorced.
If you are divorced and any age 18 years or over, you will compete in the “Ms.” Division.
If you are age 18-25 you must have children to qualify in the “Ms.” Division. Otherwise, you will compete in the “Miss” Division.
If you are over 25 years of age and unmarried you are eligible to compete in the “Ms.” Division regardless of whether or not you have children.

Mrs.
Must be at least 18 years of age as of January 1, 2012.
Must never have participated in a previous NATIONAL Mrs. American Spirit Pageant.
May only compete in one Mrs. American Spirit State Pageant (including the District of Columbia) per pageant year.
Must have been married for at least one year as of January 1, 2012.
May or may not have children.

All Contestants
Must be a naturally born female and a citizen of the United States.
Must be of good health and moral character.
Must agree, that if selected to compete in an American Spirit Pageant you will abide by all the rules and regulations governing that pageant.

No contestant or any member of their immediate family can be employed by or work as a volunteer for American Spirit Pageants, Inc, VanDerGinst Law, P.C., or VanDerGinst Charities or any of their subsidiaries or affiliated or related companies. (If contestant or any member of their immediate family is employed by any of the foregoing or any firm or corporation controlled or affiliated with any of them, then they must notify the pageant director immediately, in writing, so that their eligibility may be determined.

Must agree that if you win a national American Spirit Pageant title, you will not participate in any other pageants during the time you hold any of these titles, unless authorized in writing by American Spirit Pageant, such authorization not to be unreasonably denied.
Must be willing to release, unconditionally and forever, any claim against American Spirit Pageants, Its parent and affiliated or related companies and their respective officers, directors, partners, employees, agents and assigns, which they may have by virtue of their participation in a American Spirit Pageant, or by any use of their name, likeness, voice, and/or biography in connection with an American Spirit Pageant, including use in promotional and advertising material.
Must understand and agree that all issues as to eligibility shall be determined by American Spirit Pageants, and they must agree to abide by that determination both as to themselves and other applicants.
