When State Pageant Exists
If a State Pageant exists in the State a Contestant resides, works or attends school that Contestant must first compete in, and win, her State pageant and receive her State crown and sash. She must be in good standing with the State pageant and State pageant director, in order to be able to compete at the National pageant. She also must abide by the current rules and regulations of the National pageant.
State royalty may contact their State director for information on what expenses they should plan on incurring while at the National pageant. State pageants are independently operated, and prizes and awards vary from state to state.
The National pageant is not responsible for personal expenses incurred by any Contestant.
A Contestant’s state banners must not be altered in any way. No rhinestone chaining or “bling” is
allowed on state banners, as they will be worn on-stage during the Pageant.
“At-Large” Application (When State Pageant Does Not Exist)
If no State pageant exists where a Contestant or lives, or if there are vacant titles in other States then she may apply “at large” to the National office in the following manner:
Deference shall be given to Contestants applying to represent a State to which she has ties as follows:
- She is a current resident of, or student in, the Sates she wishes to represent.
- She was born within the State she wishes to represent (and can produce a valid birth certificate)
- She owns real property in the State she wishes to represent (and can produce a deed)
Upon approval of a Contestant’s Application and payment of fees (Click here for fee information), she will be awarded her State sash and crown. Under these circumstances Titles are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. The decision of the National Directors is final, and not subject to question. Delegate will also be required to purchase an ad page in the program book for $225. Contact the National Directors if you would like to setup a payment plan.
If any State remains unrepresented because a State Pageant does not exist and the “At Large” Application Process has not secured a representative based on the above cited procedures, a Contestant may represent a State to which she has no ties.
Additionally, for the inaugural national competition, Contestants that are approved by the National Director may compete as an “At Large” Contestant. Such Contestants shall be entitled to the same consideration and deference as all other Competitors and shall be selected based upon photographs and/or videos, the application and resume.
Your entry fee does not include your hotel during the National Pageant. It includes some, but not all meals. All delegates and accompanying guests must book their hotel with the National Pageant in order to be eligible for our group discount rate. Delegates not traveling with a guest may share a room with another delegate.
Delegates will be responsible for their transportation to and from their home to the host hotel.
Delegates will also be responsible for all their own expenses incurred at all times.
